Hello and welcome to my little space on the internet, FIKA!
What is FIKA I hear you ask? Well, FIKA is a concept, a state of mind, an attitude and an important part of Swedish culture. Many Swedes consider that it is almost essential to make time for FIKA every day. It means making time for friends and colleagues to share a cup of coffee (or tea) and a little something to eat.For me FIKA includes making time to be creative. Creativity is a very good friend of mine. Yes we may have lost touch over the years, but we’ve reconnected and I’m so happy we did.
Anyway, you wanted to know a bit more about me. I’m the 30 (something) year old INFJ gentleman from Norwich in the UK. If you don’t know where Norwich is, it’s the in the bump on the South East coast, or East Anglia as we like to call it.I mentioned creativity and I lost touch over the years, but now we’re reunited our favourite activities to do together are; bookbinding, art journaling and hand lettering. I may not be the best at any of these, but I enjoy it!
Outside of my friendship with creativity, I am the dad to two fur babies, Titch and Mylo. They are both silver tabby moggies who often appear in my short stories.I love marmite, terrified of wasps (they sting for no reason) and I love a random act of kindness!
